Moku Hanga y Naturaleza

This ancient Oriental woodblock printing technique, the principles of which have remained almost unchanged since the feudal period in Japan, has found a berth at La Ceiba Gráfica thanks to the initiative of Martín Vinaver, who has developed the process on the basis of materials available in the region, in line with the philosophy of La Ceiba Gráfica.

Participants on this residency will collect earths to make pigments, see the growing bamboo used in the manufacture of moku hanga tools, prepare nori, the rice paste used to fix the pigment, and will make their own bamboo brushes or tokibo.
