One of La Ceiba Gráfica’s goals is to foster analysis, research and criticism in the field of printmaking. One of the concrete steps we have taken in this regard is to establish a unique print archive that is available for consultation by specialists in the field.
The archive is based on the private collection of Per Anderson, donated to the association in 2005, and a selection of works by artists from Mexico and abroad produced in our workshops since the Center was founded.
This archive represents the largest collection of lithographic work produced using Mexican marble as well as the largest collection of prints produced in the state of Veracruz. It includes the complete works of Per Anderson himself, together with works by outstanding artists such as José Luis Cuevas, Gilberto Aceves Navarro, Irma Palacios and Francisco Castro Leñero, among others.
The creation and conservation of this archive is our contribution to building an overview of contemporary printmaking, as well as safeguarding a significant cultural heritage for the state and country.
