Stone, cotton, grease and charcoal. Lithography from scratch

The purpose of this course is to present the entire lithography process starting from the manufacture of the materials and equipment used in the technique. The technological research carried out by Per Anderson for implementing a lithography workshop using materials from the region is the guiding principle of this program. Course participants will learn about the process of preparing lithography stones, manufacturing rollers, levigators and presses, cotton rag paper and lithography pencils and crayons, all of which will be used in the production of their own lithographs.

What we hope to transmit is the idea of the individual’s creative capacity to make conscientious use of natural resources in the development of their artistic practice.
